Erika & Anthony’s Biltmore wedding was one of those days that reminded me why I do this. The way they looked at each other. The way their families showed up with so much love. The laughter, the quiet moments, the dancing. It was all just so them.

Erika wore Ines Di Santo from Chic Parisian. Anthony looked sharp in Sartori Amici. But what really stood out? The connection they shared and the trust they gave me to tell their story their way.

Here’s the thing, I don’t believe you have to pick just one style of photography. Editorial, documentary, classic portraiture… why not all of it if it helps reflect who you are? When we work together, we build something that feels real, not just pretty.

And the best part? By the end of the day, we’re not just photographer and couple. We’re family.

This weekend felt different. It was emotional, deep, and incredibly intentional, but this time, not in the way I usually pour into others. This time, it was about pausing and tending to my own spiritual walk.

On Friday, I went to VousCon and spent time with some dear friends who have truly become family. We worshipped, prayed, and listened to the Word together. And in the quiet moments, I found myself praying a lot, carrying the weight of so many hearts I love.

Lately, it feels like there’s a heaviness in the air, so many people I care about are walking through pain. Friends grieving unimaginable loss. Families navigating cancer. Others simply trying to find steady ground in uncertain seasons. And my heart is tender. It’s hurting.

As much as I love the beauty, romance, and joy this career brings, I’ve realized something: love doesn’t come without its share of sorrow. And when you lead with heart, you feel it all. I become deeply connected to the people around me, clients, vendors, friends, even the families of those I photograph. I can’t help but carry their stories with me.

But here’s the thing I keep coming back to: love is what binds us. It’s what holds us together, even in the hard. So I find myself asking, how can I love on you? How can I pray for you? How can I show up and serve you, in the ways that matter most?

Because when it comes down to it, the greatest way we can serve one another… is love.

Yesterday was such a joy. 🥹 Caro found me through this little app (bless Instagram and its endless little squares), and from the very first phone call, it just clicked. You know those effortless connections that feel like you’ve known someone forever? That was us.

When the day of their Calle 8 engagement session arrived, the energy was ✨pure✨ fun. So much laughter, so much trust, and not a single moment wasted. Miguel brought that smooth Colombian charm, Caro radiated Cuban beauty, and her sweet mama? 100% her biggest cheerleader. (This season is emotional for our mamas too, and I never take that for granted.)

Later that evening, Caro messaged me saying how comfortable and seen they felt during the session. And honestly, that’s the goal. When you lean into the moment, trust the process, and allow us to pour our hearts into capturing you as you are, that’s where the magic lives. 👏🏻

Yesterday’s golden Florida sunshine set the perfect tone for Nicole and Grant’s engagement celebration at their stunning Ft. Lauderdale home.

Surrounded by close friends and family, the afternoon felt intimate and joy-filled, a reflection of everything these two are about. Nicole, founder of Jet Set Pilates, looked absolutely radiant in her Chantilly lace V. Chapman midi dress. And Grant? The picture of charm by her side.

A quiet weekend and my heart is so full. No wedding today, which feels a bit odd for a Saturday, but I’m leaning into the stillness. Tending to the garden. Celebrating a sweet family birthday. Breathing it all in.

I’ve also been reminiscing about Rachel & Andrew’s wedding at the iconic Flagler Museum. That day held so much beauty and meaning. And now, I get to return there this October for another wedding, an answered prayer I don’t take lightly.

This work, these moments, these spaces… they matter.
