GET TO KNOW THE MIAMI & PALM BEACH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER BEHIND THE EXPERIENCE
I believe in a more personal approach
At Jessica Vilchez Photography, your experience begins the moment you reach out, and it never feels transactional.
My work blends intentional editorial portraiture with honest documentary storytelling, creating imagery that is as true to your emotions as it is to the beauty of your day. With work featured in People Magazine, Bravo, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Style Me Pretty, E! News, and more, I bring both the artistry and the experience to honor what you have built together.
But what sets this apart is not the portfolio. It is the way you will feel from inquiry to delivery. Seen, held, and completely taken care of.

Calm, intentional wedding photography for couples who want to be fully present, while every meaningful moment, editorial flair and detail is thoughtfully preserved.

Meet the Founder
Jessica Vilchez.
I did not start here. Before photography, I was in bookkeeping, sitting across from spreadsheets when what I really wanted was to be in the room where the moments were happening. The shift came when I committed to learning from the best, studying the work of legends like Jose Villa and KT Merry, and dedicating myself to mastering light, timing, and the art of truly being present.
Today I photograph weddings at some of South Florida’s most celebrated venues, from The Breakers and the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach to the Four Seasons Miami, the Biltmore Coral Gables, and beyond. I have been trusted by couples who have appeared on Bravo, E! News, and in People Magazine. And I still show up to every single wedding with the same care I gave my very first.
I work closely with my couples and their families long before the wedding day, building the kind of trust that makes the day feel effortless. I learn your relationships, your rhythms, and the moments that matter most to you. So when they happen, I am already there.
I am also a daughter of faith, deeply grateful for every door God has opened in this journey. That gratitude lives in how I approach every couple whose story I am entrusted to tell.
When I am not behind the lens, you will find me in my butterfly garden, side by side with my Great Pyrenees, Kona, or hunting for the perfect coffee.
“A calming presence, a trusted friend, and a storyteller at heart. “

10 Fun Things
about Jessica
1
Gardening Guru
My butterfly garden is my reset. There is something about nurturing something slow and beautiful that keeps me grounded, which I think shows up in how I work.
2
God’s Blessing
Every door that has opened in this career I trace back to God. That sense of gratitude shapes how seriously I take the trust couples place in me.
3
Dog Lover
Kona, my Great Pyrenees, is my heart. She is enormous, completely unbothered by everything, and an excellent judge of character.
4
Inspired by Legends
Jose Villa and KT Merry shaped the way I see light and story. Their influence is woven into every image I make.
5
south florida roots
Miami is home. But my work has taken me to Palm Beach, Key West, the Florida Keys, and destinations around the world, and I bring the same devotion to every location.
6
the details person
I have helped brides choose bridesmaid nail polish colors, compiled full vendor guides, and talked through ceremony music at midnight. If it matters to you, it matters to me.
7
trusted by notable clients
I have had the honor of photographing Dr. Nicole Martin from the Real Housewives of Miami, events for Anthony Lopez, and celebrations for some of South Florida’s most prominent families.
8
Light obsessed
Photography is entirely a conversation with light. Harsh midday sun, a dark reception hall, a golden hour that lasts thirty seconds. I have trained for all of it, and it shows.
9
featured in major media
People Magazine, Bravo, E! News, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, Style Me Pretty, The Knot Real Weddings, WedVibes, PartySlate. The work has traveled far.
10
an empath by nature
I feel what the room feels. That is not something I learned. It is just who I am, and it is probably the most important thing I bring to your wedding day.
Frequently Asked Questions
What’s your photography style?
A refined blend of editorial portraiture and documentary storytelling. I know when your day calls for direction and when it calls for stillness. The result is a gallery that feels both elevated and completely real, exactly the way your day actually looked and felt.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, and they are genuinely one of my favorite parts of the experience. We use this time to connect, build comfort in front of the camera, and create imagery that feels personal and editorial. Couples who do their engagement session with me consistently say their wedding day felt more relaxed because of it.
How many photographers will be at our wedding?
Your day is covered from every angle. Our team includes myself as lead photographer, a second primary photographer, and a third photographer capturing the guest perspective. This ensures nothing is missed and your gallery tells the full story of the day.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Absolutely. I photograph weddings throughout Miami, Palm Beach, Key West, the Florida Keys, and destinations worldwide. Destination weddings require an even deeper level of preparation and trust, and I bring the same white-glove care to every celebration, wherever it takes place.
What should we expect during our wedding day?
To be completely present. My team handles the documentation so you never have to think about it. We are with you from getting ready all the way through to the Hora Loca, moving quietly and intentionally through your day so that you can simply live it.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
Your full gallery is delivered within by 8 weeks, carefully edited for a cohesive, timeless feel. You will also receive a curated preview shortly after your wedding so you can begin reliving the day right away.
Do you offer film photography?
Yes. Film is incorporated when it supports the story and the conditions are right. I never force it. We will discuss your vision ahead of time so every choice serves the final gallery.
What’s your booking process?
Once we know we are the right fit, a signed contract and 30% retainer secure your date. From there, we begin a planning process that includes timeline guidance, multiple touchpoints, and all the preparation needed so that by the time your wedding day arrives, everything feels settled and clear.
How do you handle special requests or specific shots we want?
With enthusiasm. During our pre-wedding consultations we go through your full family shot list, any inspiration you have gathered, and every detail that matters to you. On the day, those priorities are protected.
What if we’re camera-shy?
It is more common than you think, and honestly, it is not a problem. My approach is built around capturing genuine moments, not manufactured poses. The more you forget I am there, the better the images. The engagement session helps enormously with this.
Can you recommend other vendors?
Yes. Over the years I have built relationships with some of the finest planners, florists, hair and makeup artists, and other vendors across Miami, Palm Beach, and beyond. When you book with me, you gain access to that network.
What happens if there’s bad weather on our wedding day?
We adapt, without stress and without skipping a beat. I scout every venue for both indoor and outdoor options ahead of time, so no matter what the day brings, we are ready. Some of the most beautiful images I have ever made happened in the rain.

Wedding photography that lets you relive exactly how it felt.
If you are looking for a Miami, Palm Beach, or Key West wedding photographer who treats every client like the guest of honor, I would love to hear your story.
